Student Chequing Account

You’re in luck! Once you’ve completed your post-secondary education, you can continue to enjoy the free services of the Student Chequing Account for another 24 months. That way, you have plenty of time to find a job before you need to switch over to an account that suits your needs post‑graduation.

After the 24-month grace period, your account will automatically switch to an Unlimited chequing account, unless you let us know otherwise.

If you’re 20 and under, you can use a Youth account. If you’re a post-secondary student, you qualify for the Student Chequing Account, regardless of your age. Remember, with the Student Chequing Account, you can continue with this free account for another 24 months after you graduate from a certified post-secondary institution.

Easy peasy! Just send us your Proof of Enrolment once a year – and if you have a Student Quick Loan or Graduate Student Quick Loan with us, you’ll be doing this already! Once we receive this, you’re good to continue receiving the benefits of this free account.
